The SafeHouse software presented on this website is published by PC Dynamics, located just a few miles north of San Francisco in the beautiful community of Sausalito, California, USA.
Our company was founded in 1986 by Peter Avritch and has continued to grow and flourish throughout the years. Mr. Avritch is still president of the company and remains very active in overall operations and technology development.
The Early Years
In the early years before Windows became popular, PC Dynamics focused on PC DOS-based utility products which were sold in brick-and-mortar software retailers such as Frys, CompUSA, Best Buy and Egghead. The most popular utility published was named MenuWorks; which to this day enjoys a large following from DOS users who have yet to transition over to Windows.
PC Dynamics also published a number of popular screen savers for Windows - including the infamous and original Energizer Bunny screen saver, and the still-popular
MyCorkboard screen saver which has been downloaded by over a million users.
In recent years, PC Dynamics has narrowed its focus and ongoing development efforts solely on its SafeHouse encryption software. This software made its original debut in the early 90's; and has been rewritten and recrafted from scratch numerous times over the years to keep pace with new releases of Windows and technology advancements in PC hardware and the field of cryptography.
Nearly all of the company's current revenue at this point is based on this award-winning software which has proven itself time and again in use throughout the world.
