/Readonly

Specifies that a volume should be opened in read-only mode.

In many cases SafeHouse can automatically detect when a volume is located on read-only media, such as a CD, and it will therefore apply this option automatically since you don't actually have any other choice in such scenarios.

The most-typical situation whereby you might want to specifically include this option is when you know the volume resides on a standard hard disk drive, memory stick or network server and you want to ensure that nothing is written to the volume.

When SafeHouse opens a volume and this option is not specified, it places an exclusive file lock on the volume SDSK file. When this option is specified, SafeHouse will not place the exclusive lock on the file.
